Barnabas Road Ministries
A road to encouragement,
focusing on the journey of hope and encouragement as found in Scripture
and a living, breathing relationship with God.
Why Barnabas? ~ Why Barnabas Road?
In Scripture, Barnabas was a Levite from Cyprus . . . His real name was Joseph, but the apostles nicknamed him Barnabas, meaning “son of encouragement,” because he loved to encourage others.
When he arrived and witnessed the grace of God, he rejoiced and began to encourage them all with resolute heart to remain true to the Lord . . . he encouraged the believers to stay true to the Lord
Acts 11:23
Outside of Jesus Christ, perhaps nobody modeled the attitude of helping others better than Barnabas . . . Barnabas was always coming alongside people to encourage them, and he was a mentor who saw people for their potential.
We can also be a source of encouragement to others in their journey through life, encouraging our brothers and sisters in Christ . . . thus Barnabas Road . . . We never know what great things God does or can do through our encouraging actions and words.
And by God’s grace, we hope to share Christ and help people grow in ministry, just as others have held our hands through different stages in our own lives and journeys.
